Apologetics Seminar (June 10-11) with Dr. George Bassilios

We are pleased to announce about a 2-day Apologetics Seminar to be held at St. Mina’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Hamilton, Ontario (1562 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L8W 3P1) on June 10-11 (Saturday and Sunday) with Dr. George Bassilios, the author of the book “Timeless Truth in Truthless Times”.

The schedule will be as follows:

Saturday June 10 (Youth Day)

  • 9:00-10:00am Refreshments
  • 10:00-11:00am Session 1: Does God Exist? Evidence outside the scriptures
  • 11:00-11:15am Workshop 1
  • 11:15-12:15pm Snacks and Games
  • 12:15-1:00pm Session 2: Why am I not an atheist?
  • 1:00-1:15pm Workshop 2
  • 1:15-2:00pm Lunch
  • 2:00-3:00pm Session 3: Meaning of Life
  • 3:00-3:30pm Q&A and Wrap up

Saturday June 10 (Parents Session)

  • 7:00-8:30pm Parents Session: How can parents respond to questions on the Faith

Sunday June 11 (Youth Session)

  • 12:00pm-1:30pm Round Table (Discussion): Why I am a Christian?

About the Author
George Bassilios is a professor of apologetics at St. Athanasius Boarding Seminary in Texas, St. Paul Theological Seminary in Mississauga, Canada, and St. Athanasius Theological Seminary in Nashville, Tennessee. He has been in this ministry for over 20 years. He is the author of “Timeless Truth in Truthless Times”.

He is a prominent speaker and lecturer in theology and apologetics. He appears on various Christian television programs discussing the truthfulness and relevance of Christian worldview.

George has dual degrees in Psychology and Philosophy from California State University, Hayward. He is a deacon and youth servant at St. Antonius Coptic Orthodox Church in Hayward, California. He lives with his lovely wife, Miranda, and his two boys, Daniel and Jonathan.
